Simple cherry cake with Marzipan and sprinkles

My Feeling is, everywhere and in every family, things are somehow different, and what is for some, of course, is for the other is unthinkable. So it is recipes with the family. The one guard their recipes like state secrets, and they may only be within the family and others are proud of it and carry it to the outside.

The recipe for the cherry cake with Marzipan and sprinkles comes from the shepherd family, the family of my best friend. You can be justifiably proud of it! For me, it is one of the most delicious and easiest cake I have ever met. He served with them throughout the year baked, not only the cherry season and all occasions and brought. Almost every member of the family (well, the female at least 😉 ) knows the recipe by heart and prepare the cake "in my sleep". INGREDIENTS

YOU NEED A SPRINGFORM PAN WITH CA. 28 CM DIAMETER

    FOR THE GROUND

    • 200 g flour - Type 405
    • 100 g Butter
    • 50 g sugar
    • 1 Egg, Size M
    • 1 Packet Of Vanilla Sugar

    FOR THE TOPPING / CRUMBLE

    • 750 g sour cherries, fresh, washed and pitted - OR 2 jars of sour cherries (Morello cherries) with approx. 370g drained weight
    • 1 packet of Fine Marzipan paste (200g) - is it in the back shelf
    • 150 g flour - Type 405
    • 100 g sugar
    • 75 g Butter
    • 1 Packet Of Vanilla Sugar
    • 1/2 TSP cinnamon - If You have a cinnamon-like, just omit

    INSTRUCTIONS

    FOR THE GROUND

    • As the first heats the oven to 180 degrees top/bottom heat on.
    • For the dough, and give You all the ingredients in a bowl and vermengst you with cold "Back-hands" to form a dough. Alternatively, only the dough hook from the hand mixer and to finish with the hands.
    • Then You hand out the dough with the hands or a wet tablespoon into the greased Springform pan and press it firmly.
    • Now, You wanna stick the floor several times with a fork and give it to the pre-bake on the middle rack for 15 minutes in the oven.

    FOR THE TOPPING

    • EITHER fresh cherries , wash and remove the seeds OR cherries out of the glass very well drain let.
    • For the Streusel - in the bowl of the layer, 150g of flour with 1/2 TSP cinnamon , 100g sugar, 75g of Butter and 1 packet of vanilla sugar with the hands or with the dough hook , mix and sprinkles process.
    • The Marzipan with a sharp knife in fine strips cut (as fine as it just for You), so that You enough strips for the topping get.
      NOTE: You can use the Marzipan, alternatively, a Silicone pad (without anything) with a rolling pin suitable to roll out.
    • If the cake bottom , pre-bake is, can You get it out of the oven and finish it in a circle with the Marzipan strips. Be careful with the hot mold.
    • The Marzipan You give the cherries and then the sprinkles and the cake moves again to the middle of the Track for 20-25 minutes in the oven until the Streusel is Golden brown and baked are.
